Time Passage — Power Evaluation
Final Score: 35 ± 8 · Confidence: Medium
- Intrinsic: 36 · Deck: 35 · Meta: provisional
- Primary role: Utility · Secondary: Combo enabler
Why it scores here
Time Passage is a one-copy Quick-Play that only raises the Level of one face-up Fortune Lady monster by 3 until the End Phase. It converts no cards into board presence, card advantage, or interaction on its own, so it earns little for combo conversion or resource economy. Its score comes from being cheap and clean to run and from being a plausible Level-adjust for Synchro-style lines, which is inference because no combo boards are supplied. High view_count and the Fortune Lady archetype label did not add points.
Axis scores
| Axis | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Accessibility | 40 | Needs a face-up Fortune Lady monster already on the field and cannot be searched; the single attached deck is the only observed access signal (inferred, observed). |
| Combo & Conversion | 30 | Card text only changes a Level, with no body or follow-up; no combos_evidence was supplied, so any conversion value is inferred from text alone (inferred). |
| Resource Economy | 20 | A one-for-zero Spell with no draw, search, or recovery in its text (verified). |
| Effect & Interaction | 5 | No negation, removal, or hand-trap reach in its description (verified). |
| Material Utility | 5 | Creates no monster body; it only modifies the Level of a monster already present (verified). |
| Resilience & Flexibility | 35 | Quick-Play can be used in more than one spot, but it needs a specific target monster and has a single effect (inferred). |
| Deck-Building Efficiency | 70 | Single-copy, non-garnet spell with no restriction and a low slot cost; redundancy is limited by the single deck sample (verified, inferred). |
Calculation
Weight profile: Utility default profile (no clear role); no secondary blend applied. Intrinsic ≈ 36, Deck ≈ 35, Meta = provisional. Modifiers: none. Final formula: 0.40*Intrinsic + 0.60*Deck
Strengths
- Cheap, single-copy Quick-Play with no garnet or self-lock cost
- Level change can enable Synchro-level matching when a Fortune Lady is on field
Weaknesses
- No search, draw, recovery, or interaction in its text
- Requires a face-up Fortune Lady target, so it is dead when the board is empty
- One-deck sample and no combo or guide data to confirm a real role
Counters / choke points
- Board wipes or effect negation on the target Fortune Lady monster
- Any opponent response that removes the target before the activation resolves
Best use
Utility level adjust for Synchro lines. Decks: Fortune Lady. Suggested copies: 1.
Evidence & gaps

- Observed: Appears in 1 of 1 attached decks, all Fortune Lady, in gameplay type 7
- Inferred: Acts as a Level adjuster for Synchro-style summons; Usable only when a Fortune Lady is already on the field
- Data gaps: no combos supplied — combo conversion is text-only inference no guides supplied no banlist token — assumed 3 copies (unlimited) no usage statistics (StatisticsCard) — archetype inclusion % inferred from deck sample only single attached deck limits deck-synergy and resilience confidence
